Meet Harlee
Hi, I’m Harlee! I am a 30-something digital nomad and passionate story teller. I have taken photos and videos for as long as I can remember and I graduated from UW-Milwaukee with an L & S in Film Studies and a Business of Media & Film Studies Certificate. I moved to Florida in 2018 where I began working in the TV and Film industry. Six years later, I am a producer and drone operator and slowly working my way around the country and beyond. My love and curiosity of film and TV has always stemmed from the question “how do you make that?” therefore falling on the logistical side of production felt natural. My wheelhouse consists of the who, what, when, and where of filming and I am always eager to move and pivot as quickly as production needs. My creative outlet is in the niche subjects I get to work with and the incredible people I have the pleasure or working with. As a producer, I take pride in the sets I work on and enjoy making it a pleasurable experience for all those involved.

Morning News Producing
Being awake at 2 a.m. on a weekday, eating Famous Amos cookies, and pondering the state of the world is not just a habit of mine but as a morning news producer it came with the job description. News producing sang to the analytical parts of my brain harmoniously but I found the job required some creativity I had never experienced in my career thus far. It makes you ask questions big and small like 'is this newsworthy?' or 'am I telling this story with integrity and without bias?" I have gained enormous appreciation for a sector of the industry I didn't give much credit to previously. The social responsibility to be accurate and humane is something I will take with me no matter what projects I work on in the future.

Throughout my life, photography has been a constant passion of mine. While I may not claim the title of a professional photographer, I find immense satisfaction in the creative pursuit it offers, complementing my endeavors in film and television production seamlessly. I have always been drawn to the art of capturing landscapes and portraits. There's an undeniable allure in visually storytelling through the lens, whether it's the majesty of a sweeping landscape or the intimate emotion captured in a portrait. These moments, rich with narrative potential, fuel my fascination with photography. Each frame becomes a timeless testament to the stories unfolding before me, inviting exploration and reflection.
